
Prescription Assistance and Medication Management
- Prescription Assistance - Brunswick County residents ages 60 and up can submit an application for assistance to obtain their prescription(s) at "no cost" or "low cost". The program utilizes the manufacturer compassionate program(s) and the income eligiblilty ranges as high as 250%FPL. Your medication will arrive at your home and/or doctor's office in 90-120 day supplies at no cost to you.
- Medication Management-BSRI operates the Prescription Assistance Program through a software called MARP, Medication Access and Review Program. The MARP software enables the personnel to enter in detailed information which includes a clients age, diagnosis, allergies, and medication(s). The software will check for drug interactions, duplicate drug therapy and/or potential medical concerns. The coordinator will contact the pharmacist for recommendation(s) and the client's physician is contacted. The MARP program can also list substitute medication(s) in the same drug classification that can be obtained at "no cost" or "low cost" for the client to discuss with their physician if they are experiencing financial burden and unable to continue the prescribed therapy.
